When we all get together for a worship service some folks like to hug and some like to be hugged . Others prefer a handshake. These days, we have to set those greetings aside for the health and safety of one another.
At New Home, we want to do our part, more than ever, to make sure the church house is a safe place to gather for worship. So how do we show Christian love for one another? By observing practices that protect one another, especially those who are the most vulnerable.
For Sunday's services, New Home will follow the health protocols recommended by the ADPH (have hand sanitizer and/or disinfecting wipes; have no books, magazines, or hymnals to touch; social distancing).
The 9:00 a.m. service has been planned for the benefit of those who are 65 years old and up and for anyone who might have pre-existing health conditions that could place the individual at a higher risk. At 11:00 a.m. there will be another service for folks under the age of 65.
Notes of importance:
We will still be live streaming the services so if you are unable to attend for any reason you can still watch the sermon online. At this time, seemingly more than ever before, returning to church in person is a personal decision and your brothers and sisters in Christ will certainly understand if your decision is to wait a few more Sundays before returning. As Brother Cliff has reminded us, "The building is not the Church - you are!"
When Jesus died on the cross, His final words were, "It is finished." God does not redeem men and women by their works - no matter how good you are. No man by his own self-imposed code of ethics ever pleases God. The Bible tells us: "For by grace are you saved through faith; that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast." [Ephesians 2:8-9]
Whether you know it or not - or believe it or not - God created you and He loves you. He sent His Son Jesus to die for you and rise from the grave for you. He is drawing you to Himself no matter your background, no matter your sin and no matter what your life story is. We know all of this is true because He has done the same thing for us!
Don't you want to discover the life God has for you? It doesn't matter where you might be on your spiritual journey.
Everyone is welcome at New Home. Why not join us online for the Sunday morning worship service?
Come home to a place where you belong.
We're not concerned about where you've been...but we are concerned about where you're going - for an eternity.
