So many live in a defeated attitude today. Folks all around are acting like
we are doomed. Even in the church I have heard people say, “What are we
going to do, there is no hope, it’s too far gone!” What are we talking about?
Our hearts should be filled with thanksgiving for the victory we have in
Jesus. Over and over the Bible tells us of what we are going to receive as
the redeemed of the Lord. Even the last enemy we have to face is destroyed;
death itself has no power over us.

As children of God our hearts should be overflowing with praise and
thanks for the victory we have in Jesus. It’s a known fact that we all die - for
the Christian sleep - and that is the doing of ourselves; but even though it’s
our fault God has made a way of escape. The Lord looked and saw the pains
of death and said, “I don’t want My children to go through this”, so He gives
us the victory over it through Jesus Christ!
You want something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving? Shout it from
the house top, “We have been saved, we have been delivered from the sting
of death”. We spend way too much time focusing on our problems when we
should be focusing on our blessings. And let me remind you that your
attitude comes from what you think. Maybe that’s why we have so many
who are sour, bitter, unhappy, depressed people. What if we focused on our
blessing? Do you think there would be a difference?

Folks, thanks be to God, He has done for us what no one else could ever
do. Praise His holy name for this blessing today. Try changing your song,
“We are so blessed by the gifts from Your hand, I just can’t understand why
You loved us so much. We are so blessed, we just can’t find a way or the
words that can say thank You!”
